About SAMS-art

My name is Stacey and I run SAMS-art.

I am passionate about the process and discovery of art. I believe in Dissanakye's process of Artistic Behaviour, enabling people to experience and enjoy their creative selves and the journey that takes them on.

Art for some can be a real vehicle for communicating, transformations, understanding, change and learning. Through my work, I aim to help people help themselves, irrespective of their abilities, difficulties or level of confidence.

Through working with organisations, charities, companies, festivals and individuals I have worked in various settings within hospital wards, residential care homes, sheltered accommodation, in the community and at public events to provide bespoke creative opportunities for all.

I am also a qualified counsellor, working within an integrative model and registered with the BACP. I am currently working as an Emotional Support Worker, providing counselling support within an art group setting.

My qualifcations include:
2014 - MA Creative Education 2011 - PGCE (in post-compulsory education/life-long learning sector)
2007 - Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Counselling
2005 - Certificate in Counselling Skills
2005 - BA (Hons) Fine Art

Current Memberships: MBACP, MSET (with QTLS)
